I'm very happy to be back with an amazing new collaborator- Marcello Rizza@Uollas_Uolsh. Marcello started off as a customer and prolific painter of Meridian Miniatures. As a longtime Patron he has learned to hand sculpt miniatures and so I couldn't resist the chance to help him turn his incredible imaginings into good old fashioned metal miniatures.  All sets of Moonblins will receive a free LUNARDO mini (please note, miniature only. Telescope, books and bench not included). You can also snap up RORSO, the sweet bear-frog and one of Marcello's first ever sculpts. Check out the full set of MOONBLINS, all hand sculpted and painted by my now good friend Marcello.

Lore

Creatures of imagination, fantasies of a moon somewhere in a universe…the Moonblins lived for long in the moon-mind, until they were mature enough to materialise themselves out of thin air. Time passed and they started to be bored being alone on the Mother Moon who imagined them. Every once in a while the moon imagined worlds, incredible creatures and exciting adventures…but not with enough intensity. One day, the interstellar birds made their appearance, Moonblins never interacted with anything aside themselves before….they were so curious of those new creatures! Surprise! Excitement!

But the birds didn’t lose time. They started to feast on Moonblins immediately. That scared the Moonblins so much! Fear made them doubt reality. Their reality! The desire to flee the moon grew in them. Desire of going away and exploring to find a place where those damned birds won’t hunt them.

Moonblins weren’t able to find a way to leave, until Lunardo was born. Lunardo developed interest in watching stars and planets… one day he realised! Falling stars! Stars travel through space! That was the solution!

The Moonblins worked relentlessly to create a star. Mother Moon watched her fantasies work hard to leave her… that made her sad and angry. The day came, the star shaped traveling machine left the moon with some moonblins aboard.

Mother Moon imagined herself aboard of the vessel. With such intensity and desire that she disappeared only to materialise inside the starship.

That caused quite some problems at the machine…which crashed in to a planet.

The Moonblins survived, excited to be somewhere else than the moon for the first time, and decided that would be fun to spread mischief around!

And now they had friends, being literally little moons attract water and water creatures, to the point that fishes grew legs to take a walk and see the newcomers. So at last the Moonblins and Mother Moon are free to explore their new home.
